PressTV  A senior Iranian cleric says the US administration drafted the recent International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) resolution against Iran to gain the support of the Zionist lobby ahead of the 2012 US presidential election.

The United States Washington is threatening Iran and taking measures against the Islamic Republic because the US is under domestic and foreign pressure, especially from Saudi Arabia and the Zionist lobby, Ali Saeedi Shahroudi, the representative of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei at the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, was quoted by IRNA as saying on Friday. 


In its November 18 resolution against the Islamic Republic, the IAEA Board of Governors voiced “deep and increasing concern” about Tehran's nuclear program and said Iran and the IAEA should enhance dialogue in order to resolve the dispute over the Iranian nuclear energy program. 


The United States, Israel, and some of their allies accuse Tehran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear program. 


Yet, as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the IAEA, Iran maintains that it has every right to develop and acquire nuclear technology meant for peaceful purposes. 


Saeedi that Israel and Saudi Arabia are very displeased about the fact that Iran has become a major player in the region in recent years. 


He went on to say that the US allegation that Iran was involved in a plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington is another example of the United States bowing to foreign pressure. 


On October 11, the US Justice Department accused Iran of plotting to assassinate Saudi Arabian Ambassador Adel al-Jubeir, with help from a man suspected of being a member of a Mexican drug cartel. 


However, Tehran says the media hype created by Washington is an attempt to deflect attention from the anti-corruption and anti-corporatism protests currently rocking the country.

The family of a 14-year-old girl has sued school officials in Green, alleging they failed to stop physical and emotional bullying aimed at their daughter in part because she is Jewish.

The parents sued in U.S. District Court after withdrawing their daughter from Green High School last month because, according to the lawsuit, officials did nothing to stop the taunting, violence and threats of violence. The name of the family is being withheld to protect the identity of the girl.

The lawsuit claims the bullying by classmates went on for years. Students told her she would “rot in hell” because she didn’t believe in Jesus Christ and they called her a “dirty Jew.”

“She was tripped, shoved, hit, kicked and had her books knocked out of her hands on a regular basis,” the lawsuit maintains.

Under Ohio law, all school districts must have bullying policies. The lawsuit contends that adults working for the Green district, including a bus driver, a guidance counselor, two principals and two superintendents, did nothing to stop the bullying when it was happening or to punish the aggressors afterward.

“She’s been victimized for a number of years because there’s very few Jewish people in that district and there’s a lot of people apparently who have a problem with Jews,” said the family’s Cleveland attorney, Kenneth Myers.

Superintendent Michael Nutter said the case has been turned over to the district’s insurance company.

“Our lawyers at the insurance company are reviewing it and we’ve been advised from them at this point not to comment on it until they’ve reviewed all of it,” he said. “We have our [bullying] policies, they’re all online, but that’s all I can say right now about it.”

Although most of the bullying was verbal, there were incidents of physical abuse, according to the lawsuit. In September 2007, when the girl was in fifth grade, she was stabbed in the leg with a pencil during class and required medical attention.

Her parents allege that during the fall of 2008, she was verbally harassed daily on a school bus by several boys, who called her a “[f-ing] Jew.”

But the bus driver neither disciplined the boys nor filed a report with the district. Two boys also spat on her when she was on the bus one day that fall, the lawsuit claims.

In November 2009, a boy assaulted her in the choir room at school and she had to use crutches for several weeks.

Most of the abuse, however, was verbal and much of it focused on her religion, Myers said.

The lawsuit names more recent incidents as well, including a Facebook page in 2010 devoted to disparaging the girl and including comments posted by the mother of one of the girls who created the page.

The lawsuit alleges that school officials knew about the harassment because the girl’s mother made several complaints, both in person and in writing.

One defendant named in the lawsuit, Green Intermediate School Principal Mark Booth, is accused of telling the girl to fight one of the boys who was bullying her and of remarking to the mother that her daughter “enjoyed the attention.”

The lawsuit also names the school board, Nutter, former Superintendent Wade Lucas, Green High School Principal Cindy Brown, and Jeff Miller and Jeff Wells, Green Middle School principal and assistant principal, respectively.

Lucas left the district in 2009 to become superintendent of the Olentangy district in Delaware County near Columbus. He could not be reached for comment late Friday.

The girl missed about three weeks of classes, but now attends classes in another public school district.

“She was able to enroll in a different school, which is nice that Green was able to arrange that, but it doesn’t wipe out the years of abuse that she suffered,” Myers said. “So far, she’s been at the other school I think two weeks now and things are going very well for her because they don’t have that sort of culture where that’s tolerated.”

The lawsuit asks for a declaration that Green school officials violated the girl’s constitutional rights and seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages, as well as attorney fees.

Myers is involved in several bullying cases around the state, including two involving students at Mentor High School who committed suicide: Sladjana Vidovic and Eric Mohat.

The case involving Mohat, who shot himself in 2007, was dismissed this year.

“In the Mohat case, the parents had not communicated with the school district because the son, he thought he had it handled,” Myers said. “The standard that you have to prove is what’s called deliberate indifference on the part of the school district.”

He said Green officials were well aware of what was happening.

“I didn’t have enough evidence to show that in Mohat, but I think I have it here,” Myers said.

Vandals torched three cars on Ocean Parkway and Avenue I. 

A fourth car had a swastika spray painted on it, and a nearby bench 

was tagged with the letters “KKK.”

Brooklyn, NY -- Bigots fueled by hatred and beer terrorized a heavily-Jewish Brooklyn neighborhood Friday, torching three cars, vandalizing a van and defacing other property with anti-Semitic messages.

Stunned residents on the targeted Midwood block awakened to thick black smoke pouring from the cars — and other hateful reminders of Nazi viciousness on Ocean Parkway.

"It was horrible," said 18-year-old Arlette Tebele, whose mother's charcoal-colored BMW X5 SUV was reduced to charcoal in places by the flames.

"They were trying to send a message," she said. "They're anti-Jew, anti—Semites."

Her brother, Bobby, was equally angry.

"It's not so much that the cars got blown up," he said. "It's the hatred behind it that's chilling. Of course, this would happen the one time I don't park in the driveway."

Eight nearby benches were spray-painted with Nazi swastikas and "SS" — the initials of Hitler's brutal Gestapo — and "f--k the Jews" was scrawled on a sidewalk.

Sandra Simone, a speech therapist at a nearby school, said it was no coincidence the hate attack came a day after the anniversary of Kristallnacht, when the Nazis in 1938 raided, ransacked and burned Jewish homes, businesses and synagogues across Germany.

Simone also tied the attack to the ongoing Occupy Wall Street protests, where signs blaming Jews for the economic meltdown have been spotted from time to time.

"There are crazy people in this world, who just have nothing to do but hate," she said. "This is a sign of the times — that somebody would be emboldened enough to do this."

Police recovered at least four gas containers — and a dozen beer bottles — from the block of Ocean Parkway, between Avenues I and J.

"There were Coronas everywhere," said one detective. "Looks like they had a party."

"We're canvassing gas stations and hardware stores a mile around," another detective added, describing the police search for the haters.

City Councilman David Greenfield's office offered a $1,000 reward for information about the culprits, and the Anti-Defamation League kicked in an additional $4,000.

A recent ADL survey counted 133 anti—Semitic incidents in the city in 2010 — 53 of them in Brooklyn.

"New York City is home to more than 8 million of the most open and tolerant people in the world," Mayor Bloomberg said.

"But even here, there are occasional incidents involving actions that are hateful or vicious or both."

Tebele said she was in an upstairs bedroom in her home that overlooks the street when she heard "laughing and screaming," about 5:30 a.m.

"It was a group of kids," she said. "There was a series of explosions. The three cars were all on fire. It spread from the first car, to the second car, to the third."

In addition to the BMW, the vandals incinerated a rented Jaguar and an Audi and spray-painted KKK, for Ku Klux Klan, on a red Ford van.

Officers from the local 66th Precinct and the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force are investigating the hate fest.

Before WWII, the unemployment rate in Germany skyrocketed, industry was stalled, and families were suffering. Hitler's party tried distracting people by scapegoating minority German Jews, blaming them for Germany losing WWI and for the economic crisis. Many laws and policies were enacted discriminating against Jewish citizens. On the night of Nov. 9, 1938, roving gangs of German civilians, aided by SA storm troopers began a pogrom throughout Nazi Germany and Austria, smashing with sledgehammers the windows of more than 7,000 Jewish businesses, assaulting any Jewish person who had the misfortune of walking down the street, and destroying almost every synagogue in Germany. This time is remembered as "Kristallnacht "(night of breaking glass) and stands for the beginning of the Holocaust. (More details from www. Wikipedia.com.)

It is a sad fact of human history that when a society is in economic trouble, one response is to blame some group and target them in brutal ways. In our own country some politicians have tried distracting us from the pain of our depression by suggesting we hunt down and jail illegal immigrants, including children. There are organizations of American citizens whose sole purpose is to remove illegal immigrants from our society. Some so-called leaders grandstand about refusing to allow Muslim citizens to build a house of worship in their own community. Some mosques have been defaced. Yet other self-appointed leaders blame Latino citizens for "cheap labor," or complain that they don't speak American English. Policies that attack these groups and other minorities are introduced at local, state and federal levels. This scapegoating is easier than examining the betrayals and failures of our government representatives and their wealthy friends.

Some of the people we try to "other" are third- and fourth-generation Americans. Similarly, the Jews of pre-war Germany were citizens who contributed with great music, medicine and science, as well as business to German society. Much of what we still admire about European culture was created by the Jewish people of Germany before the war.

Today, we remember Kristallnacht for two reasons. First, we continue to mourn the terrible loss and victimization of so many Jewish citizens who had simply tried to live their lives with dignity and peace. We must also stay awake about the willingness of a society that is hurting, to look for some kind of emotional release for the pain and rage of losing jobs, homes and retirement security, in addition to watching one's children suffer. Historians report that during the pogrom, many non-Jewish German citizens stood by and wept, but tears are not enough. We need to speak out and stand up for people who are targeted. During our own economic crisis, it is important that we stay awake to the blaming of innocent people and reject it.

Pakistani Schoolbooks Breed Hatred for Jews, Christians, Hindus and Others

Dislike of Christians is found in religious textbooks where Islam is described in opposition to Judaism and Christianity as creeds that rejected the pure message of Islam. 

The US Commission on International Religious Freedom has researched Pakistani school textbooks to discover that there is religious bias in them denigrating the minority communities of the country. After poring through more than 100 textbooks from grades 1 to 10 across all four provinces; visiting 37 public schools and interviewing 277 students and teachers; visiting 19 madrassas and interviewing 226 students and teachers, the commission members have come to the conclusion that “teaching discrimination increases the likelihood that violent religious extremism in Pakistan will continue to grow”.

It is admitted by all Pakistanis that their society is steeped in extremist passions, some of them excited by unjust legislations like the blasphemy laws. Entire communities, such as the lawyers at the lower and high courts, have begun to take direct action on the streets to implement their extremist agenda, to say nothing of the Taliban who burn schools in fulfilment of their own vision of the perfect Islamic state. As a shocking demonstration of this trend, most people in Pakistan think that Pakistan is not following sharia, agreeing with the madrassa network that the constitutional amendment that set up the Federal Shariat Court is not sharia at all.

Textbooks have always been biased. Dislike of Christians is found in religious textbooks where Islam is described in opposition to Judaism and Christianity as creeds that rejected the pure message of Islam. The Hindus of Pakistan get the double whammy. History in our textbooks, which begins with the advent of the Arab warriors in Sindh against local Hindu rulers, and ends with the Pakistan Movement as a refusal of the Muslims of India to live together with “an unjust and hostile” Hindu community, always shows them in a bad light.

According to the commission’s report, “Hindus are repeatedly described as extremists and eternal enemies of Islam whose culture and society is based on injustice and cruelty, while Islam delivers a message of peace and brotherhood, concepts portrayed as alien to the Hindu”. This kind of bias should be excised, but the evil is constantly confirmed by inexpert analyses of contemporary India as a Hindu-majority neighbour that is against the very existence of Pakistan. Anydramatisation of events in Indian-administered Kashmir on TV will also attempt an ideological definition of Hinduism as an evil religion. More ominously, every time the home-grown Taliban kill innocent Pakistanis, police chiefs appear on TV to say that India — in tandem with Israel and the US — has done the deed. After the Babri Mosque incident in India, Hindu temples were burnt in Pakistan.

These facts go beyond the textbook to target communities against whom the school is not supposed to teach. Hindus in Sindh are becoming victims of inhuman treatment as religiously intense organisations become strong in the rural areas of the province. The Christians of Punjab are also being collectively punished on trumped up charges of blasphemy and desecration of the Holy Quran. The textbooks reflect this mindset. The report by the US commission quotes from a Grade 4 book in Punjab: “Anti-Islamic forces are always trying to finish the Islamic domination of the world. This can cause danger for the very existence of Islam. Today, the defence of Pakistan and Islam is very much in need’. A biased teacher may report Christian pupils for blasphemy, as has happened in the past, knowing full well that it takes up to nine years to get off the hook for a blasphemy accusation, given the virulently prejudiced lawyers’ community.

Pakistan will reject the US commission’s report as per a routine that has given our officials a lot of practice in hiding the truth. Things are actually much worse in a country where TV programmes show youths voting in favour of extremist passions under the rubric of ‘ghairat’ and politicians hope to garner votes by favouring the Taliban and their worldview while rejecting any action against religious terrorism by saying ‘it is not Pakistan’s war’. Some years ago, a professor in Islamabad revealed the bias of prescribed textbooks. Today, society has far surpassed the textbook and lives a life of extremism and hatred of minority communities.

Someone recently sent me an Arabic video that juxtaposes snippets of sermons delivered by Christian and Muslim leaders in the Middle East. 

The Christian preachers offer up universal 

supplications that include phrases like “O lord, lover of all mankind and savior of all the world”; they quote biblical passages such as “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matt 5: 44); they pray that God may “heal all people around the world of their diseases.”

While such prayers are familiar, taken for granted even, the supplications of the Muslim preachers may surprise some. Popular Egyptian preacher, Sheikh Muhammad al-Zoghbi, was taped invoking his god thusly:

May Allah cut your tongue out! May he freeze the blood in your veins! May he inflict you with cancer and allow you no reprieve… Allah, strike them with all sorts of disease, afflictions and pain! Allah, strike them with cancer! Allah, let your prophet overpower them! Allah destroy them! Allah destroy them! Allah destroy them! Allah destroy the criminals who challenge the noble prophet! 

[Then, very serenely addressing his Muslim viewers:] And peace upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings.

Likewise, Sheikh Abdullah Nihari supplicated Allah with outstretched arms accordingly:

Lord, Lord, we condemn them before you!! Freeze the blood in their veins!! Strike them with evil, or at the very least freeze the blood in their veins-until they pray for death, but do not receive it!! O lord! O lord! O lord!…

One need not understand Arabic to appreciate the intensity of Nihari’s hate: watch the 45 seconds starting at minute 2:15, and see the gesticulating cleric issue his curse-while striking the floor with a stick, hurling a picture, and pounding on the wall.

First of all, it must be understood that traditional Muslims summarily hate all non-Muslims, period. However, they hate Jews more than anybody else on Earth. In Islam’s oral tradition, it is believed that killing one Jew is equal to the killing of fifty non-Jewish unbelievers.  Every muslims traditionally learn from the mullahs and seniors—that they must hate Jews more than any other infidels. All muslims (good or bad) do believe that Jews are the worst enemy of Muslims and they are advised to take cautions when dealing with Jews.

Remember that American reporter (Daniel Pearl) who was the first victim of sensational beheading by Al-Qaeda in Pakistan (by Khaled Shaik) in 2002, right after America removed Talibans? Early 2011 (during uprising in Egypt), Lora Logan CBS reporter in Egypt was brutally raped and tortured because they thought she was a Jew, although she was not actually a Jew? What it’s telling us? There is no question that every muslim child is taught about the danger from Jews universally around the Muslims world. I never heard any muslim who can deny that Muslims universally fear and hate Jews most, period.

I do believe, Jews in the Middle East know it very well. But, Jews residing in the western world, especially Jews living in the USA do not quite understand how much Muslims hate them, and it is baffling to me that many Jews make excuses for the terrible behavior of Muslims. Many Jewish rabbis and Jewish leaders deliberately join their hands in support of the so called “Inter-faith” meeting which is nothing but Islamic Taqiyya only to fool the Jews.

Perhaps Jews do not know how this special hatred for Jews is rooted in the Islamic theology and history. It alarms me to see Islamic jihad and draconian sharia advancing globally, and I can see more Jews as allies to them.  By not taking a stand against Islamists, Jews are emboldening their agenda.  I am writing this to wake up Jews who are under the delusion that Islam is a religion that is fundamentally friendly to them.

This hatred has nothing to do with land claims about Israel, which are false claims made throughout the Muslim world.  The Muslim hatred of Jews pre-dates the existence of the modern state of Israel by some 1400 years and is based on verses in the Qur’an and in the hadiths. From earliest childhood on, Muslim youngsters are brainwashed to believe that Jews are the worst enemy of Allah, with Christians, polytheists, and Hindus coming next. The rationale for this hatred is that everyone must accept Islam, since Muslims believe that it is superior to all other religions and Islam is the only true religion on Earth.

When Muhammad was still weak, with only 75 to 100 followers, and was trying to convince the Jews they should accept him as the latest Biblical prophet, he lavished praise on them and reframed Biblical verses to flatter them.  Thus, he chose Jerusalem as his qibla, the geographical direction to use when praying.  Later, he changed it to Mecca because Jews did not respond to his religious claims, and he was furious with them [1].

While trying to charm the Jews into accepting his new religion, Muhammed came out with sweet verses like this, showing acceptance of other religions:

Surah 2.62  Surely those who are Jews, Christians, and Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

Jews should not be fooled by the peaceful verses Muhammed introduced at the beginning of his career in Mecca, when he was politically weak.  As soon as he became stronger, he made statements of war, which canceled out (abrogated) the earlier verses. More Here
